allofmp3: Music for Masses... or Tears of The Nation?
Магазин цифровой музыки Allofmp3, находясь под огнем врага, выпустил плеер, который позволяет воспроизводить защищенные DRM-ом (собственного видимо производства) "MP3" файлы. Сами файлы при этом совсем бесплатны. Но воспроизводить их можно только будучи подключенным к сайту, иначе DRM не даст. Подробно об этом - на сайте.
Технический и деловой аспекты мусолить не буду. Меня заинтересовала в этой истории семантика названия этого плеера (или всей системы) "Music for Masses".
Во-первых есть альбом Depeche Mode с очень похожим названием: Music for The Masses. (вот, кстати, Pimf из этого альбома - видео). В начале песни "To Have and To Hold" звучат слова: "V dokladah rassmatrivayutsya evolyutsiya yadernyh arsenalov i sotsial'no-psihologicheskiye effecty gonki vooruzheniy" что по-русски значит :) "The evolution of nuclear arsenals and the socio-psychological effects of the arms race are considered in the reports". Википедия утверждает, что о смысле фразы Вилдер понятия не имел.
Во-вторых (и во главных) есть песня команды Vacuum "Tears of a nation"MP3. О ней я вспомнил, когда раза три повторил про себя странноватое название плеера. Так вот, текст важен для понимания ситуации, потому приводится без перевода. Включите погромче. Это песня:
