Map of the US counties I have visited. Countries I have visited are Canada, Mexico, Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina.
- I have been to 323 counties. This includes 4 independent cities (St Louis, Missouri and Alexandria, Fredericksburg and Newport News, Virginia) and the District of Columbia. The counties stretch across 29 states and, again, DC.
- I have not visited 100% of the counties in any state. The closest is in my home state of Arizona, where I have 14 out of 15.
- I've also visited 14 each in Oklahoma, Virginia and Washington.
- The most counties in any one state I've visited? Texas with 35. California is a close second with 34.
- I've only visited 1 county in Hawaii, Nevada, New York and South Carolina.
- The most common name I have encountered is Jackson County, with one in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Michigan, North Carolina and Oregon.
- Other common names on my visited list are, with 3 each : Hamilton, Lake, Livingston, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, and Washington.
- Lastly, I am some kind of mapgeek. Hah!
