So I did my Mount Royal interview yesterday, and I think that it went well. I hope. God, I hope. I'll apparently hear within the next two weeks what the outcome of it all was. It was pretty standard questions - "why do you want to be in broadcasting?" "why mount royal?" "what do you know about our program?" "give me a final sales pitch in 45 seconds about why we should pick you". All my practicing in the shower really helped me out, I felt confident and I maintained my wicked eye contact and all that stuff. Hopefully I impressed the panel - the rest of my interview group were all aspiring broadcasters, I was the only person in the room that said that they aspired to do production work as opposed to on-air work. Which I'm hoping will set me apart from a herd of girls with acrylic nails who want to be the next Barb Higgins or whoever. Here's hoping that I nailed it - I really, really want this.
