I am so posthumously sick of your whining, ACD! You created an amazing character, perhaps the world’s most beloved. You wrote mysteries and puzzles that it took real intelligence to conjure up. You drew us into one of the most beautiful friendships fiction has ever seen. You captured hearts, inspired real detectives, and changed lives. If you consider that a failure, then fuck you, dude. I’ve seen countless interviews and quotes where you piss and moan about how much you hate writing Holmes, you hate to be known for that. I hope you can see this from beyond the grave, because if you were alive I’d find you and chew you out. You changed the entire fucking world for the better, so man the fuck up and be grateful that people love something you made!
