It's the weekend again! Hurrah!
This week wasn't too bad. I had a couple of stressful days at work, but even the most stressful day at my current job isn't too bad.
I've started walking with a co-worker of mine, Noor. Well, we've only done it once, but it was awesome. We walked up and down the parking garage, I was sore the next day! It was great exercise and we're hoping to do it more. It's really nice to have someone to walk with since we get off work when it's dark outside. It's much less creepy walking around an empty parking garage when you have someone with you! After we walked I had a lot of thoughts about exercise/being healthy/body image/"dieting" and all that. A lot of thoughts. But then I got home and was so tired that I forgot to write in here. I'll have to talk about that sometime.
It's getting sunny out, which makes me excited about succulents! My succulents have been living on a shelf in my front window, here is a picture:
Jay insists that they made it through the winter fine, but I have some reservations. Some of them have grown in a funny direction - towards the window, trying to get to the sunlight. It bums me out a little.
My big succulent win, though, has been my Lithops and Pleiospilos making it through the winter. They even made new leaves like they're supposed to! They're "living rocks", and apparently they're pretty easy to kill by overwatering. I didn't water them all winter, and they're doing fantastic. I'm pretty proud! (I told Jay I was proud, and he said "all you do is not water them, it's not that hard." But I'm still proud, a lot of people kill these!)
(The one on the bottom right still has a dried out flower on it from when it bloomed in the fall, but I think I'm just supposed to let be until it falls off.)
