(no subject)
I'm 17 weeks into my pregnancy and I'm more than sorry for the lack of updates. Our printer died on us a few months back which made scanning my baby's pictures impossible.
Anyway, yesterday Shawn and I visited Dr Loke for the sake of just knowing our baby's gender! It was a request made specially by my husband and the baby's grandparents as we were all anxious to know the gender of our baby. So that we can start shopping!!
As I spent my quiet time with the Lord these past months praying for my baby.. I petitioned Him and told Him the deepest and darkest desires of my heart. And, the Lord reminded me that although, I have mentioned to Him that I would love for a daughter, His plan for me and my child is sovereign above all.
Hence, I knew that even if and when the Lord gives me a baby boy, it is not to deny me of my heart's desire but because He has a greater plan out there.. for me and for my child.
We went for the scan yesterday again.. and once again, my baby blocked the most important parts with its legs which made it impossible to view the gender. The doctor was so sweet and offered to do a vaginal scan to have a better view of my baby's nether regions!
And soon, we found out the gender of my baby!
And... my baby is a darling boy. Shawn asked if I was disappointed.. to a small extent, I was. But, I remembered what the Lord reminded me.. and I know that every child is a gift from God! :)
so all glory and praise to God!
