Prometheus Suckage
I had no desire to see Prometheus. I thought it looked dumb and considering how brief and choppy the previews were I figured that couldn't bode well. Unfortunately, Wraith Sister wanted to see it badly and didn't want to go alone. I was seduced by promises of dinner out afterwards. What can I say? i'm a sucker for Uno's pizza.
Saw it yesterday. Guess what? Sucked. Although, it was better than Dark Shadows, I'll give you that. (That was a mistake. Whatever happened to scary yet humorous GOOD Tim Burton movies like Sleepy Hollow?)
There was so much wrong and incredibly stupid about Prometheus I don't even know where to start. Oh wait. Yes I do. All of it. *headesk*
It was like a hollywood producer was standing next to the screen the whole time and saying..."Look. We're being enigmatic. See that right there? Enigmatic. Isn't it cool? They changed this scene because of MY notes to make things seem enigmatic in order to pull in the weirdo sci fi fans, but really, it's comprehensible even to Bubba at the filling station because we want Joe America's dollars!"
The stupidity and lack of brains and even the most basic scientific protocols or procedures would have been laughable if it weren't so painful to watch. There's no way Weyland would spend trillions of dollars on this expedition and have only 17 rank amateur idiots crew it. GAH!
Enough, before I blow a vein in my forehead. In other news, My muse seems to have come to a screeching halt on writing any SGA fic. Ii have ideas aplenty but can't seem to get any of them down. Don't know what's up with that. :P
