Lightning Strikes, part 3

Here's the next part. Some infirmary and just a teeny bit of hurt John. This part sees the lines drawn between John and Rodney, setting the stage for more to come. Enjoy!

Love all of you that have commented. Keep 'em coming! :)
And to all of you that have read my little stories, thanks!

I like the way you added the tension between John and Rodney but I honestly have a hard time believing Rodney would behave like this after being friends with John after all these years.

But John knowing what each device was under the mask was way cool.

This is necessary, but actually believable. Refer to 'Trinity' and the SG1 eps with Rodney in them. He can get very obsessed and that's where he is right now. Glad you liked the test. More of that coming plus some, so stay tuned.

I liked the way you had John demonstrate his enhanced senses. That was very cool. I also enjoyed the Radek and Zelenka interplay--in character and very nicely done. I can see Rodney being oblivious to John's feelings to a point, but it did seem to be a bit extreme after John (who is not feeling well at all) asks Rodney to basically leave him alone. I agree with Kazbaby that after all these years Rodney has developed some sensitivity towards others, especially his friend John. I can see him being annoyed to a certain degree but some stuff (like going over his head and forcing him to help him) seems a bit extreme. Definitely Rodney would be obsessed wanting to figure out the super powers, but in my view he would go more for the persistent nagging approach to get John to cooperate with his research. Of course, this is just my opinion. It's your story to control and fashion as you like it. Whatever you do I will enjoy reading it.

Thanks! Glad to hear it. Remember, Rodney can be oblivious to other people's feelings or wishes. His people skills have improved, especially in regards to his friendship with John, but right now he is extremely obsessed. This is necessary for where the story is going, so bear with me. :)

Ooh, I like the way you've captured McKay's personality here. I think he does have trouble remembering that people don't just have to snap to when he wants something, especially when he's so focused on his work. He has never had great interpersonal skills, even after having friends for five years, so I find this very believable. I also like the way you have Sheppard standing up for himself. Too many writers have him giving way to McKay without really standing up to him when Rodney gets like this. I'm eager to see how this plays out.

Thanks! That's exactly what I'm trying to convey. He's just been handed the key to everything he wants to know and is frustrated and obsessed. He would try to pester John normally, but anger and frustration can lead people to do things that they normally wouldn't. McKay's wake up call is coming, so stay tuned :)

Zelenka is right, Rodney is being an ass. But I also know he's got it in him to be better. I'm loving this!
