cchopps recently told me I need to update. So, I guess I will. In handy-to-read, easy-to-write glob form.

GLOB ONE: WORK
I'm still working at MetaMetrics. Coming up on three years in March. Work has finally gotten actually fun, for the most part. We've switched to doing a lot of our web development in Django, which is wonderful, and I've started to transition form pure component/backend programmer to web-programmer. It's a lot of fun, as I said. I've given up my ongoing job hunt for that reason, and for the reason that in the current economic clime a job that is reasonably secure is not one to bail on.

GLOB TWO: CAM
I'm basically not a member. The question of whether or not I'm DST is unanswered (my term expired, no new elections were held). Our domain of two is being kept open for reasons unknown, and I've basically checked out. I hope to keep in touch with friends in the Camarilla via different means, since the Cam just ain't it anymore.

GLOB THREE: HOMELIFE
Homelife is still pretty awesome. Just celebrated kamerone's birthday in tandem with my sister, who has moved into our apartment for the time being as she looks for a job in the area. I'm pretty happy with the arrangment: my sister is awesome and she wants to live in Durham. kamerone is likewise awesome, and being very tolerant of the excess Sackett family up in the hiz-ouse.

GLOB FOUR: OTHER STUFF
I'm working on a startup with an associate my manager introduced me to. In short it's a bid to use travel-aggregates' (Travelocity, Orbitz, &c) affiliate networks to raise money for nonprofits. And take a little off the top for personal profit. It has the potential to be one of those cool win-win scenarios for all involved.

I'm blogging with more regularity over on a tumblr blog, where I mostly post the intersting linky things I used to post here. Tumblr is just a much easier means to do that sort of thing.

I'm also working on my own blog engine for more lengthy items, the ever-present lit-mag thing I posted about long ago, and a photoblog for kamerone (who, if you didn't know, takes amazing photos.)

So. That's me, right now, in lj post form.

(Don't worry, I still read here a lot, and I haven't forgotten you. I just don't post much, and don't think comments in LJ contribute much. Go figure.)
