(no subject)
I've been feeling sick for the last week. It's slight, really; just a touch of nausea. Nonetheless, it's distracting, and as a result I'm having trouble concentrating. Can't wait for the weekend.
In other, healthier news, I have an English assignment that should be quite enjoyable. Essentially, I have to write about a time when I looked below the surface at something. My subject? Musicals, with a focus on the Sweeney Todd revival cast (it has enough depth to the music and characters to make the argument that it takes an expert to fully appreciate it). I have Vander Ark's permission, so there shouldn't be a problem this time.
The more I look into it, the less I want to go to UW Madison. A representative came to our school on Wednesday to talk about selection. My record is good enough to give me an 80-90 percent chance of acceptance, but now I'm not sure. The requirements seem absurdly academic, with emphasis placed almost exclusively on difficulty of classes and grades. Their French department isn't as good as it initially looked, either. Maybe I'll apply and go if I'm denied everywhere else.
(And yes, that was college!angst from someone who in theory should not have to worry about it for another year. Foreign exchange is fucking up my schedule, alright?)
