No but there are lots of problems with it, and I don't mean the bugs. The game is not nearly as fun as I was hoping; it feels like they wanted to mix and match a space game(like master of orion or sins of a solar empire) with a new evolutionary concept game(kind of like Portal's half-game style). But if they're charging $50 for it, then it better damn well be fun, and it's just not. The part I was looking forward to, the evolutionary part, is way way way way way way too short. Weird, never seen that. Maybe I don't hang out in the water that much. Interesting. That bug does suck though. But honestly, it's REALLY easy to go through cell stage again (and you'd get credit for your whatsit badge, the one where you went through cell stage a lot) Then you can just access your template and make the same creature without having to design it. Does suck though.
Anywho, I agree with your comments that the game is really quick up to space. And you forgot terraforming in space! That can be a lot of fun.

penises are always just decoration.
I keep a proboscis in the creature and tribal phases so anything can be eaten, regardless of herbivore or carnivore traits.
