Catching up

The Friendship Contraction-- I loved this episode overall because it felt so classic, like when TBBT was amazing. There was not much direct S/P interactions but enough to make a few cute memorable moments. Sheldon is upset that amy wont drive him to the dentist and starts complaining about how their relationship has lost its magic... and Penny tells him thats not what girlfriends are for but he does't use them for what they are for so what does she know. His face... its like he is really bummed out she thought of him that way, as "incapable" of being that kind of man. Its sad they make Penny out to think that relationships are about sex but none the less, I hold out hope for Sheldon to the guy who will actually "buy a ticket before playing with the teacups" and she will see she is wrong. He also tries to get his friends to drive him places. Now I didn't notice this part facial wise until someone made a gif but he says someone needs to drive him to Ikea and looks right at Penny! Her lack of response kinda bums him out. I actually wish they would of had her take him, a S/P car scene is needed badly. There is also a part where L/P are making out in her place and interupts Sheldon (wahoo!) without knocking. This annoys Leonard (naturally) and he is snarky with him when he comes to ask about having smores. Leonard calls him crazy. Penny feels bad for him. (loved it!) Then she tells Leonard to go talk to him and on his way out of course he has to mention their make out session is not over. However... there is a cute line between S/P about a "Leonard's day" card. It made me smile. That was all they really had.. thats alot in some sense though.

The Vacation Solution -- There was literally no actual S/P interactions here except a brief (and I mean brief) scene they shared with Howard at the bar. However that scene was more about Howard/Penny. They were doing alright in this episode by having Sheldon stick up to Amy and tell her he feels he is more than capable for what she wanted him to do. He cut himself and fainted (she was smirking-- when he showed Penny his cut at the bar and fainted, she looked sad) Then they made him become "whipped" now here is where my issue comes. I HATE this, its very unlike Sheldon. Not to say he isn't the kind of guy to do something he sticks with (renting the lab for a week and committing to come back and help) but the way he tried to say sorry at first I would of been ok with, this, was annoying. It was forced by Amy because she was not accepting his other apology. His jaw quivered when he said it, he was not thrilled to be saying it and he told her he was going to Epcot next year which meant he was not enjoying working with her. This takes me back to the famous "fight" episode for Shenny. Amy was more bitchy/condensending in this eppy and in that one Penny was ready to give him a taste of his own medicine. They went head to head the whole episode and its great because it showed you that Penny can handle him and she doesn't change who he is or want to, she was just trying to make him see he was wrong in her own way. Like Mary, Penny can handle him and yet still accept him as Sheldon. Now granted in that episode she called his mother to get him to apologize to her but still... he did. So this is NOT the first time he apologized and frankly his apology to Howard when he offered him his spot meant more than the Penny or Amy one's. I love how when he apologized to Penny he even erased her strikes. (He forgave her too) This one with Amy I think he did unwillingly because he felt he had to in order to keep the lab for the week. It was a interesting contrast to see how Amy handles him in times like this compared to Penny

*Next week there is NO Shenny either, so it will be a while before my next blog. I have no given up though, keep checking back* In the meantime... if you need some shenny inspiration, follow my tumblr here
