[Bitterly.]

[His voice doesn't sound too mirthful, though.]
Yeah. Rough everything.

[Words of support from Chase Stein.]
Maybe after this we can spar again, yeah?

[His voice is wry. Passengers have nothing but spare time.]

[Orders to leave his room and hang. That's a vote of confidence with a witch on the loose, Kage.]

[Scornful.]

[That's his pride talking. There's the sounds of his door opening and shutting; he checks both ways down the hallway, and tries to make his way as silently as possible down to the Black Pearl, keeping his ears open for anyone else.]
[Just a precaution, you know.]

[...and right now, he's all talk.]
[He slips down to the restaurant thankfully without incident, exercising ridiculous amounts of caution until he sees Kage relaxed in a chair. Chase relaxes at this; spotting the gun, he's put at ease.]
Hey.

[Kage's smile is welcoming and he gestures Chase over happily.]
Kiddo. We ain't done nothin' but spar for a while. Was wonderin' where th'fuck you'd gotten to, eh?
[Kage has half a bottle of plain, warm vodka with him and he splashes some over a glass full of ice and pushes it towards Chase.]
Bodka. Vodka. However th'fuck you say it.

[Chase picks up the glass and starts to down some of it even before he sits down, glad - grateful, even - to just... hang out with Kage again despite the current tense atmosphere of the ship and the fear hanging thickly in the air.]
Oh, you know. Been around...
[...met a girl... he smirks, taking another sip and setting his balisong on the table with Kage's gun.]

[Kage sips at his drink, grateful for the harmless distraction that Chase is. The rest of the restaurant is ghostly, dim, empty, and a big change from the clanging, banging casino.
He pours more drink into his glass.]
How's that goin'?
