I'm frustrated
After receiving an email tonight, I looked up the word advice in the online dictionary. This is what it said:
Advice - an opinion or recommendation offered as a guide to action, conduct, etc.
Hmm, interesting. Nowhere in that definition does it say that the person has to take the advice. Now, I am open to compromise as some of my friends know. And I have a fic that I am writing with someone where I was given advice and I have given on some things.
However, I will not apologize for being sloppy. Yes, there are times that I miss certain things. You know what? i have health issues and I am on medication. I have a brain tumor, in fact. So I am going to have problems sometimes. But I don't think JKR or her editors have health problems or a brain tumor and they mixed up a lot of stuff in the HP books. So why should I be better than them?
But you know what? I am paid to write, so I must be pretty good. I write articles that people read all over the Internet.
I never claimed to be perfect. If perfection is what people are looking for, then they aren't going to find it here.
