a little more detail... and some new shiznat

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo upset right now.  i just wrote for more than half an hour, and it somehow just erased. f-ers.  i am seriously mad.

heres a little more detail:  there was a semifinal european champions league game here, liverpool vs chelsea.  the whole city was just buzzing tuesday. everyone walking around the city in liverpool jerseys and chanting/singing/getting drunk together before the match. so much hype.  my helen's boyfriend (andy) was so nervous/ excited for the game that he had to stop reading the paper because it was stressing him so much.  the match ended up in double overtime and then penalty shots.  the liverpool goalie was incredible.. they didnt even get to all 5 shots each team.  liverpool was celebrating!! and still is i think.

here's some new shiznat: we played football yesterday at a park nearby... where i had been kinda attacked by a stupid dog on monday while running with helens housemate june. no dogs off a leash yesterday... didn't have to yell at a strange guy to call his dog while i kinda kicked at the dog while standing on a bench.  twice in 5 minutes. stupid idiot.  i had more of a story there, but don't want to write it all again.   helen, andy, june, amanda, and i  all kicked the ball around a bit after andy and helen finally found somewhere to pump up the footie (ball).  football was a good time, but i was strangely off balance, like i have noticed several times since i've been here.  i know it doesn't, but i feel like the world spins the other way here or something.  weird.

then helen, andy and i headed for the local student pub to watch the man u vs AC milan match, which was disappointing on man u's behalf.  the score was 3-0 only counting yestereday's match.  there are 2 matches in each semifinal, and away goals are worth more than home goals.   anyways, i met some friends and was asked agian why canadians and americans hate each other.  we don;t do we??  i think they got that idea from south park and simpsons, etc.  i told them that we make fun of each other, but don't hate each other. am i right??  i thought simpsons, etc, were just satirical about certain ignorances. someone better comment on this issue for me.  i also had to tell them that we do not have a sport of pillow fighting. lol.  i'm assuming there was a show on that too.

i didn't realize that there were so many different accents just in england alone.  like liverpoolers are called scousers, which sound like a combo of english and irish.  andy is one, and i can;t understand him half the time.  helen has a southern-posh accent like we'd think of as english.  her housemate sandra sounds like a pykie from the movie snatch.

this morning, i went with helen and her friend lindsay to uni because they had assessments in a class where they did dances in partners.  it was kinda cool.  i definatley want to join that class.  and the uni is absolutely gorgeous, and the area around is sooooo pretty.  loved it.  as i write this, some words sound english in my head.  i wonder if aynsley will think i sound slightly different.  i'm stoked to see ayns on sunday in london.  it'll be nice to be able to hug a piece of home.  yes, backpacker numero uno, you will get a hug.  a great big bear hug ;)

so tonight we get to partay :)  hopefully her housemates will have all their schoolwork done enough to come out. apparently there are diferent rooms with different kinds of music in some clubs here.  sounds cool.  apparently guys don't really dance much, and there are no breakdance circles.  :(  we'll see i suppose.
