Recovery
“Sergeant, I’m ordering you to get better.”
Greer’s eyes widen in surprise, but he says “Yes, Sir,” anyway.
“Do you know how to do that?”
“I’m not sure, Sir.”
“All right, then.”
Young sits down at his bedside.
“You will stay in bed. You will do exactly as TJ tells you. You will not go wandering off. You will not play the hero. You will not overestimate your own strength, and you will treat your body with the respect it deserves, and you will not delay your recovery with such disobedience.”
Greer wrinkles his eyebrows.
“I gave you a direct order, Sergeant. Is that understood?”
Greer nods. “Yes, Sir.”
“Good.” Young gets up and stretches.
“Now, I do not want to hear any more complaints about you not taking care of yourself, is that clear?”
“Crystal, Sir.”
“Excellent. So, you will close your eyes and go to sleep and get some rest.” Young snaps his fingers and Greer does as he’s told.
As he hears Young’s footsteps receding he grins.
“Yes, Sir,” he whispers.
