That is a lovely story, and actually a very good capture of how the mind of a dedicated medic often functions. It is not a lack of emotion but an ability to focus and put it aside in time of crisis.

Oh wow, thank you so much! This is exactly what I was going for! Back when "Lockdown" first aired a lot of my friends said Dr. Brightman was a "cold fish" and I remember defending her as a very focused and determined person. And I really love how they've developed her more on SGU, especially when she mouthed off to the Lucians. I cheered for her! Thanks for the lovely comment, I really appreciate it.

This was beautiful. It's a rare thing to find one of those background characters be made so rich and full of life and have that be interesting in and of itself without help from any of the main characters. But you have pulled it off in spades. I loved this!

Thank you for the kind comment and observation. One thing I have always loved about Stargate is the fascinating minor or supporting characters - they're all worth exploring, and just like in the real world, everyone has their story. Thanks again for taking the time to post, it really made my day.

Oh very nice character study. I like the dynamic of those who know and those who don't and how she figures out some of the mystery herself.

Nice little cameo there for dear Kendra too!

Thank you so much for the kind comment! Yeah, I know, according to canon Kendra was dead by S8, but looking at the ep there was really no dramatic reason for her to be gone - I assume they just couldn't get the actor again. And I liked Kendra, so in my head-canon, she's alive and well and still healing people. ;-) Thanks again for taking the time to post.
