Everyone in our little part of Crockett (the 120's wing) knows I'm leaving. This past week one vetran teacher told me she was giving it one more year and would quit in the middle of next year if the bullshit was as thick and heavy as it has been this year. Another colleague who is in her third year of teaching asked for my help in writing cover letters for her resume. She wants to move to northern California and thinks she too will be gone next year.I've always been a little ahead of the wave in many things and I think I'm dodging a bullet for sure this time.

Still no nibbles from any of the schools that advertised for physics teachers. I really do want to continue teaching in a smaller school. But if that doesn't work out there's always the lab. and geting up at 3am to go to work. They are currently down 4 techs and would welcome my return tomorrow. OOOORRR something entirely new!!

Baboo and I went to County Line on the hill to watch the sunset last night just because we could. When we were tourists here a must-go place for every visit was County Line and when we were back in Fla. we'd talk about how good the BarBQ was there and how different Fla. BarBQ was and how soon we would be able to go back for some more etc. Now we can go anytime we want and so WE DID just because WE COULD!!! It was chilly on the back deck but the sunset was lovely and just when you'd think it was over some new colors would show up, the Shiner wasn't all bad either and the BarBQ speaks for itself.

Grandma Sue is moving back to New York this weekend. She managed to sell her double wide and purchase another in NY for close to the same price. We did a little help with finances but not much. She will be close to her daughter who is a nurse and that will become more important as she continues to age. A son and son-in-law are driving a truck down and one will drive the loaded truck back and the other will drive Grandma and Goober in Grandma's car.

That's all I've got for this week.
