Reunion
Sooooooooo... my ten year high school reunion. Yeah, as I'm sure you can guess, it sucked big time. Here, my lovelies, is the story.
Kris and I arrived at the new school at 6 pm. I just have to say here how deeply saddened I am by the fact that they tore down the old one. People arrived, milled about, and chatted for about the first hour. I saw some great people I was really happy to see and some people I really could have gone the rest of my life never seeing again. I sat with Jake Bracken, Beka Leavitt Bracken, Robby Foster, Robby's wife Valorie, Joey Foster, and Kris. Dan Moore and Angie Hansen Moore were late but also sat at our table. I can't tell you how happy I was that Angie made it! She's one of my very best friends and having her there made me feel a lot better. Of course, that whole table was heaven for me because I seriously love all those guys so much. I think it was a pretty small turn out; about 75 people out of about 300 were there. Anyways... once everyone was seated it was time to get our grub on... but, well... the food was bad. Real bad. It was a buffet line of ok salad and fruit, terrible spaghetti noodles, marinara or alfredo sauce, soggy bread sticks, cake and water. Mmmmm. I was glad Kris and I ate a late lunch with Cynthia and Elliott! While everyone was eating they gave out the usual crap awards, like who's been married the longest, and who has the most kids... which I think was like a 30 way tie of 5 kids (I am from Utah after all). Then they did a slide show of pictures from high school but they were all of the same group of people. That was it. Everyone chatted a bit more as people filtered out. So, yeah, big fun! *sigh* I'm just glad I went because if I hadn't I would have wondered and wished I had. The funniest part of the whole night for me was when we got back to my mom's house and I took the new black blouse I was wearing off, my whole upper body was blue black. I mean DARK and I couldn't get it off! It took about 3 days to get it all off, I looked like my torso had been badly beaten.
*sigh* I also have a house guest staying who just won't leave! I HATE THAT SO MUCH!!! GO AWAY ALREADY!
