So, today was pretty momentous and fun.
I had my last exam at the University of Wisconsin-Madison this morning at 7:45. I'm not sure how it went, but its over.
Then, I went to deliver my final paper to a mailbox and the building was closed so I had to put the paper in an envelope and leave it in a departmental mailbox in another building.
Then, Erin and I ran a bunch of errands.
1. We stopped by the Abraham Lincoln statue on top of Bascom Hill, climbed on top of him, touched his nose, and took pictures. (Its a tradition here to touch his nose when you graduate.)
(This is a picture offline, Erin has the picture of me in his lap)
2. We leasurely walked to the University book store to get our cap and gowns. I got an honors stole as well. (I'm graduating with honors! Yay!)
3. We ate brunch at the Sunroom Cafe (Yummmm!)
4. We stopped into a used cd store that was going out of business and selling cds for cheap. I bought a Corrs cd and a Diana Ross and the Supremes cd.
The Diana Ross cd actually has two cds, so when i went to check out the guy was like, "Umm...I'm supposed to charge you $10 for two-disc sets, but are you willing to pay that? *I shake head* How about $8?"
5. Then, we went dress shopping for Erin. That was hard! She's not used to wearing dresses, so it was a challenge and she was picky as well.
6. We stopped at the capital to use the bathrooms and admire things.
7.We walked back to campus, Erin went to work and I went to work (where I am now).
8. After work, I'm going over to Erin's to eat dinner and watch Grey's Anatomy! Yay!
(OMG Helen, my Diana Ross cd has her singing "I'm the greatest star" which has that famous "people" line that Barbra Streisand sings!)
Anyways.....its been a nice day.
