We found out both times. With Luka, we wanted to know, because we couldn't handle the suspense. With Carolina, we needed to know, so we could plan appropriately.

12 hours with Luka (induced)

8. What was your least favorite thing about labor?
The throwing up and random pooping/peeing.
9. Do you want more kids?:
Hmm... do I want more kids? Yes, but wanting and actually having are two different things.
10. Do you plan on having more soon?:
No, I'm pretty sure we're done. DH has left the door open to possibly having another one in 5 years, but I'll be 36 by then and I'm not sure I'll still want that challenge.
11. Does daddy change diapers?
Of course!
12. How many times have you been peed on?:
A couple of times by Luka; never with Carolina.
13. Barfed on?:
Just twice-- both of them Luka
14. Is your child named after anyone?
Luka's middle name is Alonso, which is Chris' middle name and my father-in-law's middle name. My father-in-law actually goes by Alonso.
15. How did you come up with their name(s)?
Luka's first name comes from the character Luka Kovac on ER. Silly, I know. Luak's middle name is explained above. Carolina was a girl's name had Luka been a girl. We were toying around with another name (Aurelia), byt Chris wanted Carolina. Her middle name, Elise, is something that Chris picked.
16. When your child(ren) gets in trouble, who is the bad guy?
It depends on the situation. Generally, I'd say we split it.

18. What is the longest you have been away from your child(ren)?
Luka-- probably just overnight when I went to a bachelorette party. I was away from him when I had Carolina, but I saw him every day.
Carolina-- a few hours to go to a wedding. This weekend, Chris, Luka, and I are going to a college football game, so that will be the longest time away from her.
19. Kids bedtime routine?
Luka goes to bed between 8-8:30 pm. His routine is basically this: strip off play clothes, go potty, put on diaper and pajamas, read a story, kisses and hugs, lights out
Carolina goes to bed between 8:30-9:00 pm. Her routine is this: put on jammies/change diaper, listen to story on Luka's bed, come downstairs for snuggles and a bottle, rocked until drowsy, put into crib (lately, I've been holding her until she falls asleep because I can't stand the hour of screaming she does at night)
20. Are your toes painted?
yes, but they're chipped
21. Last movie you saw in the theater?
Knocked Up-- with Chris and Carolina
22. Last time you had a date?
Actually, not for a while. We're planning on going to a Halloween party together next weekend.
23. One thing you will not give up just because you are a mom?
Hmm... tough. Maybe a short list: beer, listening to rap/rock music, watching silly TV, expensive makeup

Sleep, my body

There are a lot of great moms out there. I think I know some of the best. However, if I gave a truthful answer, I'd probably say Mary, the mother of Jesus.
