so i have to produce a mere 1500 words on the matter of either a)security or b)human knowledge as it relates to the theoretical stylings of thucydides and plato.
i find topic a) more compelling but im veering into the territory of b) because what these two dips have to say about security is kind of rooted in their conception of knowledge. what is security if not the process through which one decides to obsess and take paranoid action? fending off the baddies is more complex than building a wall and forcing everyone to join the delian league or saying we should create a class of guardians and then being like "lol guys i dont REALLY think the kallipolis will ever exist."
i have my suspicions that most people will pick this topic because they will be able to use it as a realism vs idealism rant and i hope they all get c+'s so they get kicked out of honours and ir and then have to go kill themselves or redirect their law school applications to the 'university of bumblefuck' level.
