Music Agenda

I'm glad December is here, if only because this is my month of buying time in LA with music and fun things before life comes knocking, or banging, again. I kind of like it this way though, being poor and living for music. At least there's passion in that, and therapy would be even more expensive anyhow. My friend Isabel will be here in a few days, too. It'll be her birthday which is even more reason to live it up for a bit. We need to go to karaoke!

Here's the music agenda:
Spice Girls on the 5th
I'll be 14 again. Enough said.
Melanie C at the Mint on the 6th
I was so lucky in getting a ticket to this, as it sold out so fast and the website wasn't working, and I bet most of those people don't even care about Melanie's music as much as the fact that she was a fucking Spice Girl. I wish she would do more gigs like this in LA, I've been wishing she would for ages, and I suppose this was the only way for her to do it. I'm just bitter because Nikki didn't get a ticket in time and I did.. I told her if she really wanted she could take my spot... but she said no and will try to get one some other way.
MAYBE... Tori Amos in Oakland on the 9th
I might get FREE tickets to this from a nice Tori fan (because Tori herself is giving this girl upgrades), in the pit. The word is Tori is recording her live DVD in Oakland (probably because she has 3 shows there and can cover most of the dolls). I've been looking for excuses to do a CA road trip also, so we'll see.
Tori Amos in Santa Barbara on the 13th
Tori Amos in Anaheim on the 15th
This is general admission, so I'm betting on a Pip show. I'm going this one alone, as I scored one way underpriced ticket right after it sold out. I feel very lucky. So that probably means Pip will bust out Me & A Gun again, with her knife to freak the shit out of me. *shivers*
Tori Amos in LA on the 16th
I'll be completely spoiled by this point, and won't have very good seats either. But it's her last show on this tour, so I'm sure it'll be great either way.

plans, music
