And, my, Tori Amos has 2847 "B" songs but I'll only pick one...
1. Bachelorette - Tori Amos. Let's begin with this deliciously quirky, sexy, and lonely b-side. I believe this one was recorded with wine and sort-of improved (hence the "yi-di-di's" and *laugh* "sorry" at the end). I get images of "Breakfast At Tiffany's" and "Sex and the City".
2. Braille - Regina Spektor. Probably my favorite Regina Spektor song. It's not even the story told in the lyrics so much. Just the initial notes themselves give me goosebumps. And with goosebumps, the idea of reading braille on the skin becomes even more beautiful.
3. Beauty And The Mess - Nickel Creek. Mmmmm bluegrasssss. "I hide in the spotlight; it's a great disguise." I'm sad that this group broke up. They can play! I wish I would have seen them a couple years back when they toured with Fiona Apple. Their sound + "Limp" = YUM!
4. Blue Ridge Mountains - Fleet Foxes. Because I can't help it. I love their natural, nostalgic sound. I listened to them quite a bit while hiking.
5. Bat's Mouth - Bat For Lashes. A nocturnal "first time" type of love song. Very lovely, just don't think too much about some of the imagery such as "spewing comets"... unless you want to.
