Shelly & TNA Part Ways
It appears that the departure of TNA Knockout Shelly Martinez - who appeared under the name Salinas in TNA and Ariel in ECW - could have been somewhat avoided after Martinez asked for a small pay rise to compensate for not doing the movie. The filming was going to clash with her TNA schedule and it's being reported that Martinez wanted around $200 more per appearance, something that TNA didn't want to pay. In a blog posted on Sunday on her MySpace, Martinez said that sometimes in life you have "no choice" and you have to "follow your heart even if it seems at the time your heart may be breaking when you do follow your heart and commit to it." She adds that she did take a big decision and she will talk about it when the time is appropriate. The blog was done before her scheduled PPV appearance which might have sounded strange for those who read it before but got the clear picture after No Surrender aired.
