Health care lawsuits already. Oi.

Mar 23, 2010 16:24

Hooray -- health care bill. Not as good as I would have liked -- no public option (boo, Joe Lieberman). But, the world is one step better.

Of course, Republician politicians can't quite let this go. Unfortunately, WA's attorney general, Rob McKenna is one of them. He's put forth a lawsuit against the bill, along with several other AGs. So, I felt compelled to write him today. HERE's his contact info. If you live in a state with one of these lawsuits, I'd suggest writing in to your AG, too.

My letter Feel free to lift it for your own use.

Dear AG Rob McKenna:
Please stop your lawsuit against the recently signed federal health care bill.

First of all, Washington families need more health care protection that this bill provides, such as not being dropped because of pre-existing conditions or getting sick.

Second, you have plenty of things to actually spend your time on that will protect Washingtonians without wasting it on a frivilous attempt to pander to the politics of the Republican party. Given that most analysis I've read says that this lawsuit has very little chance of succeeding, I feel that the only reason you must be doing this is for political points within your party. Please stop it.

Sincerely,

me
