MARDI GRAS 2004

Feb 22, 2004 12:07

WEll kids, kicked off the first night yesterday.
Friday night my friend JEnna and I flew out of LAX to New Orleans and got here yesterday morning. My friend Justin picked us up and we slept for a good five hours. Thank goodness!! -we were beat! This is where we will be staying the entire time. Thanks Justin!!!!

So we got up, took some showers, Jenn flew in from her Michigan audition and waited for Boz to drive down from BR. Jenn made the first alternate spot in Yehuda's studio!!! USC is her first choice...WOOT!!!!!! Very exciting. She's hopefully gonna try to make it out for part of her spring break. So much fun.

So we finally hit up WIn-Dixie and got our alcohol then went downtown to meet up with EVERYONE to watch the Endymion parade. Jenna Belle is no longer a Mardi Gras virgin. YAY! I hope she's having a good time. OF course all of my friends at LSU is giving us crap for going to USC, and of course I'm wearing an SC shirt right now. FIGHT ON! But, all is well, and I should know to expect it. It's all good.

The parade was awesome
I love Mardi GRas. We met up with everyone. I love it. If you wanna know who was there, check out the list on Jenn251's journal. She lists everyone.

So far, no stories...about me, anyway. I don't have a black eye (yet) and no run-ins with the police. YAY! Poor Jenn, though. WE were in a parking garage and she fell and dislocated her pinky. Her finger looked like a Z. WOW. She's a champ. She has two auditions coming up next week. She's amazing, and I've got faith in her. Wow, she's a champ. YEah girl!
Anyway, it's really nice to get out of LA for the weekend. It was yucky and rainy there, and it's unbelievable how beautiful the weather is down here!!!

I'll try to update again. No promises.
I need to go practice
Today we're getting lunch at Canes ....MMMMMMMMMM. Canes is the missing void in my life. I miss it so much. Then hitting up downtown again for more alcohol and beads and watching the Bacchus parade. Woot! I must agree with Ben: watching 65 yr old ladies fight for beads is quite a sight. Haha.
Oh, and Jenna is still living, and I promise to bring her back to LA safe and sound!
Alright, I'm out.

Oh, and check out my FRIENDS page if you want to read more stories from Mardi Gras b/c they're all here.
woot!!
