That’s about all I can say about the day so far. It started out bad because I got up late (yet again) and I was craving a chocolate chip muffin which meant that I had to stop by the bank and get some cash as I knew I didn’t have enough change in my car. So I get to Tim Horton’s (best chocolate chip muffins EVER) and the line for the drive thru is heinously long. So I decide to go in. Well, that line was just as long. Now keep in mind that I’m seriously running out of time to get my breakfast if I don’t want to be late to work. So, after looking at the line inside I decide to go back to the drive thru. Except that it’s gotten even longer and I didn’t think that was possible.
So, I ran over to Rite Aid to get breakfast. A coke and a rice krispie treat. How’s that for a nutritious breakfast? Not the chocolate chip muffin I was craving, but at least it gave me a sugar boost for a little while.
When I got in to work this morning, I had an e-mail from Boonie with a JI wallpaper that she’d made me. SEXY!!! He’s got on these jeans and boots and he’s leaning against the truck...and with those eyes and that stare that makes me think …. Well, I won’t say it here. I haven’t gotten much work done today; too busy staring at my wallpaper and trying not to drool all over my keyboard.
So, my day is looking up. I figure if nothing else when things go wrong I’ll just sit here and stare. And it’s not like I’ve done any work yet. It’s 10:45 and I’ve been here for over 2 hours and done absolutely nothing. Unmotivated, yep that’s me. Well, actually if you want to be technical about it, I’ve talked to my co-workers, sent a few e-mails (work related) and a lot of e-mails (not work related) so I *really* have done something. Just not much in the way of work. Better get on that though. My boss is on vacation but she left me a pile of work and I should probably get started on it. Some of it may even be important and due today.
Before I leave though, I just have to say this. I got to watch JI in an episode of West Wing last night. OMG! At the risk of repeating myself, he’s just so damn sexy. He’s got an Irish (I think) accent in the show and is a photojournalist who takes Donna around the Gaza Strip to show her the “real” Gaza. I won’t bore y’all with the details of the show. I hadn’t watched it all season so I was a little confused myself. But, since I was really only watching it for JI that didn’t matter so much. I have to give the DVD back to my friend tomorrow. But I’m going to beg her to make me a copy of it so I can have it forever and ever!
So, hi-ho, hi-ho! It’s off to work I go. Catch ya on the flip side! (I don’t know why all of a sudden I’m using that phrase. Mike used to say it all the time. Seeing Clapton must have brought that back.)
