(no subject)
hello I am bored and procrastinating so that = writing a livejournal entry!!!
Nothing much is going on in the life of Shell. I have 2 jobs, one with UNC housing and the other with the UNC Phonathon. It's pretty ballin and I like them so far. I spend nearly all of my time at the Phonathon. I mean, I'm not in class and when I am not working at the housing job I'm just sitting around. Might as well sit around and get paid for it, right? So I go into Phonathon to work. And all of my friends are there, too, so it's a good time. Hopefully I'll get a promotion soon cause it's about dern time. Also, turns out I was supposed to get a few raises awhile back and so they are working on that and my boss says that I will get the back-pay that I was supposed to get. HELL YEAH. I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch though, just in case that doesn't work, ya know?
So, in conclusion, I <3 Phonathon. and they basically throw money at you. You get as many hours as you want, it's SO FRIGGEN STABLE, and fun people work there.
The housing job is fine. I get a free room to stay in and the people I work with are nice. I don't really know what's going on and actually how to do my job, but I'll figure it out...
I've been so busy that I've started using Google calendar. I cannot believe that I actually have to map out my schedule. Oh gawd! These 2 jobs are very necessary though because I am trying to get into grad school so I need ze money. ACK!
I still have to take the GRE and get a mad good grade on it or else I will probably not get into the School of Education. Damnnnnnnn it.
I start a summer class on Thursday... great... yet another thing to add to my list of stuff to do for the rest of summer. Hopefully that won't cut in TOO hardcore with my work schedule. At the housing job I can basically do all of my homework real easy. NOTHING HAPPENS. At phonathon I can try to do the homework, but I normally end up talking to people instead!!! Not cool, Shelley, not cool.
I don't drink alcoholic beverages at all anymore. That's freakin NICE. I used to worry about "AH MY WEEKEND IS GOING TO SUCK BECAUSE THERE ARE NO PARTYS" but now it's not that at all. w00t. Since I'm busy all day I really don't have a super desire to go out. Me and Jamin watch movies a lot. I'm making him watch When Harry Met Sally because he is going to make me watch Gettysburg. AH! I might start hanging out with Laura from work before she leaves for Cali-forn-i-a. Me and the work people are going to get together and play Rock Band before JJ moves to Raleigh. We love doing that... it's only happened once and that was a month or two ago but we STILL HAVEN'T STOPPED TALKING ABOUT IT.
I love the movie Clueless and I love the way they talk. SUPER HEELARIOUS.
I'm trying to learn guitar. It ain't working very well.
I love "Jon and Kate Plus Eight." It's probably the best show ever!
I finally started cycling again and I just came back from a ride and feel really healthy. Almost sick, though. Which sucks. OH WELL. It's my first time exercising in a fricken long time so I guess being sick is natural???
It's time for a shower cause I gotta go to rent movies and work aka be out in public and I look gross right now!!!! Totally uncool.
