Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haw!!!
No real reason for that opening line. But isn't it exciting??
Mom and I recently got back from a first aid/CPR training course in Sharon. We have one more 4 hour class to go to next week, and then I get a little card from the red cross to stick in my wallet. We had the nicest old lady as our instructor. In the middle of the class a Dartmouth student sprained her ankle elsewhere in the school. We had just learned how to bandage and splint. And at the end, while she was showing us how to use the alergy bee sting needle, she stuck herself by accident! Blood everywhere!
Today I was called in to work at the Terrace. Thay might want me tomorrow too. Gah! I like the fact that I will have the extra cash, but I really need to the time to distribure resumes. At least I got to work with Chef Josh. He was very proud of the action figure chef with red hair he found and brought in (It looks like him). It lives on the top shelf in the kitchen now. Yup. By the end of Saturday I will have worked 9 days straight in a row.
They offered me an RA position today. The owner of the Terrace herself asked me to join her in the library and requested me to consider it. It's a pay raise, but I really would like a solid schedule. Not to mention I am not all that comfortable with the fact that I would be helping the residents to get dressed, undress, get in the shower, change their adult depends etc. I'd also be cleaning their ears, clipping toe nails, giving out meds, and all sorts of other miscelaneous jobs. I give a lot of credit to the RAs. They probly should get paid double what they earn. A lot of the residents aren't even very gratful for all of the stuff the RAs do for them.
I'm looking onto some office jobs with lots of young people around. There is this Jewish publishing company that is looking for someone with computer skills. Very intriguing.
Kris and I were supposed to go hiking and then see a movie today, however that didn't happen after Dennis called for me to fill in for him and I realized I had my CPR course tonight. Maybe tomorrow or Saturday.
And Henry called me last night. Was quite a surprise, and I had no idea who I was talking to for a while. He sounds quite different on the phone and is infinitely more sociable. We talked for a large chunk of time and are planning camping, swimming and drive-in adventures with Ian and anyone else who wants to come along this summmer. Yay!
Ok. Must away to bed, plus the smell of Ethan's feet are killing me. Ug! Have a good one all.
