Daft Punk Rox Ma Sox
Firsty, the Daft Punk Concert in Melbs was fucking hot. It was awesome, I'd follow them around the globe if I could.
So then I found out they just released a live album of a gig they did in Paris. I had to get it. Searching on the net a few places had it but were all sold out and weren't getting any more. There was a deluxe 2cd limited edition of it. It sounded perfect but I contented myself at having to get the second best normal release... if I could find a place that stocked it!
I looked on ebay, but no such luck.
Then I came to Darwin. God bless a state that thrives on bogan music.
I walked into JB Hi-Fi and found that omg they had numerous copies of the normal release, I was so happy. THEN I spotted a copy that was slightly thicker than the others. Dear god, I'd found it! The limited edition. I nearly wet my pants. Then to top it off there was a special import copy of another one of their albums...for $10. I promptly bought both and rocked out to it in the airport lounge later that day.... yes I rocked out in the lounge. I couldn't help it.
So that rounded off a better day where earlier I'd left my purse on the plane, when I got it back everything was there except the $200 my Nanna had given me the night before as my Xmas present :( (she's since put another $200 into my account hehe, bless her).
Now I'm up in Nhulunbuy. Tonight I shall get very drunk and play with a certain guy up here who I've always wanted to get my hands on haha.
Saw one of my mates at the airport last night and was good to see her again. Should be seeing the other two, plus her and guy at the pub tonight. Hope it's a good night, I have hopes, that's usually a bad thing hehe .
