i've learned that ultimately, you can only count on yourself. sure, people can help you along the way but at the end of the day it's totally up to you. i think i got too caught up in expecting those around me to pick me up, and forgot what it means to rely on yourself. so i call quits on the whole "damsel in distress" thing and i'm doing everything on my own from now on. the only person that i have to prove anything to, is myself. i'm going to stop kidding myself and selling myself short. it's time to indulge in my independence and regain who i am. damn, that's a selfish entry. hahahha.
