You know, it takes a remarkably little amount of BPAL to scent really heavily. I made salts the other day with an imp and either 2 or 4 cups of salt ...
Oh yeah, it's super easy. I get one of those disposable tupperware dishes (of an appropriate size, of course), and put in:
2 cups salt (I use 1C epsom salts, 1C sea salts) 2 Tbs fragrance-free oil (I use Neutragena's sesame body oil coz that's what I've got on hand) 1 imp
If it's too strong smelling in the container, add more salts (and oil - 1tsp of oil per 1/3 cup of salt) until you get it the right strength. Start with something you've either got two imps of or have got a bottle of - if it's too weak, you'll need to add a little more BPAL.
I'm such a dork, since the Lab d/c'd the yummy bombs, I've been trying to replicate them with salts, shea/sesame/whatever oil, sodium bicarbonate (which I guess I forgot to mention - I haven't really found a balance I'm happy with, but most recipes I've seen are 1 part bicarb to 1-2 part salt)... I've got some fancy salts that I use in cooking (pink, gray, and purpleish) that I grind up and add a little bit for color...
