[019] [voice | text] ... Well, that was a short stay.

My apologies for the shortness of this message, but I intend to leave soon.

Now, does anyone know how to obtain an advantage against Steel-type Pokémon? I came victorious against Azalea's Gymnasium leader, but it was really rather close when he sent out his... Scizor, I believe it was called? Yes, Scizor.

Anyway, yes, that will be all.

Wow. There's steel Pokemon too?

[As you can see, Mr. Doe, Byrne is very much UNHELPFUL here]

Indeed there are, although I have yet to see one in the wild.

Huh. They're actually made of steel?

That may depend on the species. One of my Pokémon, for instance, only has steel protrusions on his head; yet, I have seen a bird made almost entirely out of high-quality steel.

[Byrne is imagining this giant steel bird and is a little freaked out at the thought of a living bird made almost entirely out of steel.

But then again, this is Johto! What's logical about anything in JOHTO?]

Huh. Interesting...

Well, um, I'd guess they'd be weak to heat? Since heat melts steel. So fire-types?

So I have heard.

There's gotta be some place you could look it up to double-check! Otherwise yeah, I'd say fire. It seems like all the type advantages/disadvantages are things that'd make sense in our world, so just think of it like that, I guess.

That does seem to be the rule for most of them.

Kind of common sense, if you think about it! But I suppose random types like steel are confusing.

What other unusual types are there in Pokemon?

Poison, for instance.

Oh, yeah. Poison-type like Weedles. [FUCKING WEEDLES]

Now that's a toughie. I don't know what they're weak against. Antidotes? [Chuckles]

[Staying out of view for now. Nyah nyah. Also, Viola is poking at the screen.]

As you can see, she is a Bug- and Poison-type Pokémon.

[..........Okay. Little itty-bitty spiders you can squish with your finger are okay. Tarantula-sized spiders are pushing it, but they're okay too as long as they don't crawl on you. But this. THIS GIGANTIC THING IS JUST AN ABOMINATION OF ALL SPIDERS.]

Bug and poison... Like a Weedle. [Byrne may sound okay but his face is just all PLEASE OH GOD LET THESE THINGS NOT EXIST IN THE WILD IN HOARDES]
