Christmas shopping
Okay, I think I've finally learned my lesson. Never again will I wait until the last minute to finish my Christmas shopping. I had actually done almost all of it before today, I just needed to get something for my mother. And I figured that would be the easiest of all because she said she wanted the latest Mary Higgins Clark book. So today I went to Borders to get it. I used to work at this Borders, I don't understand why their entire staff now seems to be incompetent. I ask this one guy if they had the book (after I looked for it myself because I used to hate when people would ask for something but they hadn't even bothered to look for it themselves first, especially if they knew where it should be) and first he stares at me like I've got five heads and then looks around dumbly for a few minutes. So I repeat that it's a book and it should be in either mysteries or new books or whatever. He wanders around for a bit before finally asking another sales person who tells him it should be in the mysteries section. Which is what I had just told him. So we go over there and this idiot starts looking under the "Ks". Finally I just told him never mind and left.
I then drove up the street to another mall where there's a Barnes and Noble and I had to fight the horrendous traffic in the parking lot. They did have the book in B&N (and another one that I don't think she's already read, so I got that one, too), but then I had to stand in a humongously long line and they didn't even have free gift wrapping like they normally do. Next year I'm just going to order all my books early on Amazon.

I'm pretty sure all those who requested one received theirs, except for thegirliscrazy because I have yet to put yours in the mail due to my own laziness and procrastination. But I'll probably just give it to you in person when we go to see DREAMGIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to go work on my vm_santa gift which is due by the new year. I don't know why it's taken me so long to write it since it's my favorite characters to write (V and Wallace) and the person said exactly what they want written. I really need to stop procrastinating. That's my number one new year's resolution.
