Money, money, money (and some other stuff)

I got my state income tax refund check this weekend and it was for $250. And my mother told me after she mailed in my other taxes that my federal refund would be even more than that, so yay!!!!

To celebrate this increase in my bank account, I went shopping this weekend. I mostly got some shirts and jeans, and some DVDs, including the Destiny's Child Live in Atlanta concert DVD since I'm still sad I never went to see them perform in concert. The only bad thing about your family knowing your financial situation is that they know whether or not you can afford to pay for stuff. So after we finished shopping, my mother, sister, nephew and I went to the Olive Garden to eat, and of course they were looking at me to pay the bill. My mother says this was only fair since she knows I had the money to pay for it, plus she's the one always paying whenever we go out. (My sister never has a dime.)

I think I'm going to start doing thefridayfive questions. I've seen other people doing it, and the questions look interesting, so I'm going to be a copycat and do them, too. :)

1) When you were little what was your favorite TV show?
My favorites were The Cosby Show, Fresh Prince, Full House, The Golden Girls, Sister Sister, Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude (actually just about anything on Nickelodeon), and Ghostwriter.
2) What was your favorite movie?
The Chipmunk Adventure (which is still one of my favorites), Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Free Willy, Home Alone (I had the hugest crush on Macaulay Culkin), and The Little Mermaid.
3) What is your favorite TV show currently?
The Flava of Love. Haha, yeah right, I don't even watch that. Like y'all don't know my favorite is Veronica Mars :)
4) What is the best movie you have seen so far this year?
I haven't actually been to the movies too much this year. I guess my favorite would be Jarhead, although I can't even remember if I saw that this year or late last year. But Jarhead was a really good movie either way.
5) If someone was going to make a movie or TV show about your life, who would play you and why?
Well, I would like to say Beyonce, but I would like for a good actress to play me, and to be honest, as much as I like her, her acting is...not very good a lot of the time. Not bad, but not great, either. So I think I would pick either Megan Goode (who was in Deliver Us From Eva and Roll Bounce) or Zoe Saldana (who was in Drumline), since they are both pretty and good actresses.

I really don't want to go to work this week. My kiddies have spring fever. My sweet little second-graders have turned into smart-mouthed, hardheaded wannabe third-graders. Thankfully, it's only a 4-day week and Spring Break starts on Friday. Yay!!!

Have a good week everyone! :)
