See the cuties in the icon? That's my new foster mum and her male kitten, having a snuggle. There are two kittens, a boy and a girl, who are turning three weeks old tomorrow. More photos are
here on Flickr. I have named the mum Gem, and the kittens are Bear and Chloe. Bear is fighting off conjunctivitis in one eye, and I'm concerned Chloe might be going that way too. They've all had cat flu for a week or so, but seem to be mending quite well now. I'm weighing the kittens morning and night, and they've put on so much weight the last two days! Which is a huge relief, because Tuesday-Wednesday they LOST weight and I picked up some formula and a bottle at the vet hospital on Wednesday in case I needed to supplement mum's milk. They didn't fancy the rubber nipple, though, so it's a good thing they're doing so well now. Yay!
Not much else to report. I'm finally feeling better this week, after three weeks of viral nastiness. I'm still coughing, but not as often, and not giving myself headaches anymore. Last week the infection got going in my sinuses too, so I've finished a couple boxes of tissues recently, but that also mostly gone now. Mostly. *sniff*
I have ONE MORE WEEK OF CLASSES ARGH and then a week "off" to study.
Genetics exam: November 7 (80%)
Counselling case studies: November 9 (80%) but my illness has allowed me to get a small extension, so I'll be handing in on the morning of the 14th.
Spring is finally really here, with a forecast max of 31 tomorrow! W00! I have my front door open now, enjoying the fresh air and the bird noises (thank goodness for my locking screen door).
And now.......now I'm going to go do something. Not sure what. :p
