As some of you may know my son Mikey is severly autistic. We have been really lucky with all the help and support that we have needed since his diagnosis at 2 - he is now 9 1/2 but still non verbal - but other people are not so lucky, due to costs and lack of support etc. Many children with early intervention and support can lead very full lives

That video was heartwrenching. I posted the PSA HERE. Maybe if it gets to one of the people on my flist that yours doesn't reach then they'll put it on their pages and then it gets to someone else and so on. I'm going to email this out as well.

My husband's little brother is Autistic, but he's also got Down's Syndrome. He's 19 and still finds it hard to communicate. I'm not sure I knew your son was autistic. I know what a very hard row my mother-in-law had to hoe, however. It was very, very hard for her. I don't know much more than what I learned with her Zac, but if things ever get to be too much for you please think of me as a shoulder to lean on if you need to talk or cry or scream. We can hook up via MSN or email or something. Whatever you need - even dumb jokes - keep me in mind.

Thank you so much for thsoe kind words. Sometimes life gets really hard and it is nice to know there are people out there than understand and care. I am quite a shy person which is why I never really chat with people but I am working ojn overcoming that. You do a lot to help me in my real life already with your wonderful stories which give me the escapism I need when things are hard. Nothing better than a bit of Sam/Dean or Jared/Jensen to keep a girl happy. Thanks once again for your note.
