My cats say hi

I feel restless These biscuits I'm eating taste funny. Wrong. They're Hobnobs, but there's a hint of something else... can it possibly be sausage? Yes - it's just the teeniest hint of the hotdogs you get at school fetes - slightly blackened on the outside, slightly raw on the inside - barbecued by someone's dad. Ketchup, onions. Then you go and play the 'hit the mouse's tail with a mallet' game, and then it rains and you go home.

Hmm. And all that from an oat-based biscuit.

It's been a lovely sunny day today. I would have liked to be at the protest in London, but I was in London last weekend, and I can't afford to go again so soon. There was going to be a march here, but it was cancelled because that's just the way things happen in this apathetic little town. They had a stall in the town square, and people were walking past going, 'wankers'. The more the deaths mount up, the less people give a shit. The phrase - 'shock and awe' - what's that all about? It's horrible.

Hmm... I feel like... going down to the park, sitting on the grass and looking at the pretty boys in the sunshine. But then, there aren't that many of them around here, and I expect they'll all be kissing the pretty girls.

Bought my very first DVD today. Velvet Goldmine. The girl in HMV said, "What's that like? My friend said she'd lend it to me." For some reason, I stuttered out, "Really, really good. Really good. Yeah, I like it a lot." I think I probably sounded like an imbecile.

So, watched the little documentary thingy. Jonathan Rhys Meyers - he talks an inordinate amount of rubbish, doesn't he? It's cute. I like pretty boys talking rubbish. Ewan - ah... Ewan. Ewan, Ewan, Ewan. And Christian. Ah... Christian. Christian, Christian, Christian. Oh, and Toni... Toni, Toni, Toni. Yes. That was my in-depth review for you.

Hmmm, what shall I do now? I could update my website. Read stuff. Scroll dutifully through the five billion list emails in my inbox. Work on pretentious arty project. Write something (ahahahahahaha). I shall be going out to drink alcohol later. Yes. That will be good.

alcohol, politics, food, iraq, films
