I know it sounds petty and stupid but there aren't many things I'll miss about Montreal besides the restaurants and the strip clubs. I've had many beautiful girls plant their asses in my laps and grind down against me in hopes of getting me off. It's the benefit of being a hockey player... not just in Montreal but everywhere. And it's surprising that they don't get burns along the insides of their thighs from the rough seams on a pair of tight jeans.

But like strippers, we're all resilient in our own ways. Scars and burns? We hide them so well, letting them heal over with time but still reminded of the chafing as we walk and and our thighs rub together and the muscles tighten and contract in a blind pain. You never see it or feel it but it's there.

And I have found new ways to mend, new teams, new friends, maybe a new letter on my jersey. I'll miss Montreal in my own ways. I long for a lot things and they all melt away with time. My past is not completely forgotten but the voices are old and faded and the future is loud and clear. I love a new beginning.
