Hello paradoxers! Can I just say this might be the most fun, creative, and supportive community I've ever run across? 'Cause it totally is. Anyway.
This is partially an idea and partially a request. Have there been any good crossovers done with BBT and Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog? Because if there hasn't, there really needs to be.
Reasons:
1. Sheldon is very close to being a supervillain, if given the right incentive. If it weren't for his compassion, he would probably be one already. And wouldn't you know it? Dr. Horrible/Billy has that little bit of compassion too! Also, this BBT quote: "The guy is one lab accident away from being a supervillain." Leonard knows how it is.
2. The whole Penny name coincidence. Or is it really a coincidence? After all, Sheldon would say it's the result of the laws of large numbers, right? I know Penny from Dr. Horrible is a totally different character, but it would still be fun to mess around with. Also, I like the idea that Penny (from BBT) can be just as merciless as Sheldon can, but also just as compassionate, so she would be the ultimate girlfriend for the supervillain that Sheldon is capable of being. (And I know there's some Dr. Horrible dark!Penny fics out there, right?)
3. Simon Helberg is in Dr. Horrible. (He plays the sidekick kind of guy named Moist. His "super" powers are exactly what you'd expect.) Granted, totally different character, but that's two coincidences in one crossover and too good to pass up in my book.
4. With the inclusion of season 3, the whole 'Penny-is-dating-the-guy-that-should-be-right-for-her-but-really-really-isn't-for-various-reasons' thing. And both Pennys are unhappy but don't get why...at least until Sheldon/Billy comes in!
So here's where the request comes in. Have I inspired anyone? Fanfic? Fanvid? Comic? Anything? I sure hope so, cause even though I love this idea, I just can't seem to get it to work for me in a plot format of any sort.
