Was Amy the one who encouraged him to head on over to Texas? If so then they truly have changed her character and morphed it into a wannabe version of the early season Penny. Why should the gang even be surprised that she'd gotten him to finally do something anyway? She's been doing that since season 5 already (maybe even longer than that! Penny and Leonard have even gotten him to do things themselves too! I guess they're just trying to idol Amy as much as possible just because she's the GF of THE stubborn-headed Sheldon Lee Cooper.

Leonard always takes things so personal and handles things immaturely every time Penny teases him in a playful manner. I have no hope in that kid.

I agree that Sheldon would've been too slow to catch up on Han's message behind his "I know" line. At least they actually had him say "I love you too" to Penny after she told him how happy she was to have him in her life regardless if it was meant in a platonic manner; whereas with Amy he just takes it as a fact that he's already been aware of. How...sweet. *rolls eyes*

No, I think it was pretty much his mom that got him to go to Texas. She got him to go back into to the room with Missy and the baby after its birth- he said he wasn't going to because the baby wouldn't stop crying. They were all "amazed". And Amy was feeling that she didn't matter to Sheldon so much so Leonard showed her that she was Sheldon' s screensaver(along with a bunch of other people and fictional characters).

When Sheldon came back from Texas he and Amy were walking up the stairs talking. Amy said she missed him and Sheldon said something like "to quote Hans Solo, I know".

I still stand my ground about the gang overreacting because this isn't the first time she's made him do something, she's looking more and more like a mother figure for him as the episodes go by. It looks as if she's starting to sound as insecure as Leonard when it comes to doubting their partner's feelings about them too.

Phew, thank heavens! It's way too soon for either one of them to be saying those three words to each other right now. LOL I'm a bit surprised he didn't just outright say he missed her too. Knowing the canons they'll see it as his own way of saying he missed her as well but I don't think that's the case, he's more than aware of Amy's obvious fondness over him.

Hmmm, the way the canons put it, I thought Sheldon said that he missed her too. I mean, actually uttered the words.

I think he said he wished she had gone with him,... or instead of him.

I have no doubt in my mind that he would've wanted her to go instead of himself. I mean he could've just straight up said "Hey I missed you too!" instead but for odd reason he didn't. Maybe its just me and I don't let these canons poison my mind with their over-exaggerated theories.
