"As for that proposal scene, if I was a lenny fan, I wouldn't be happy about it. Penny hit rock bottom and decided that marriage to Leonard was as good as it was going to get. Not complimentary at all. And I'm also intrigued at the downer tag scene. Usually the tag scene is fluffy and superfluous, but in this one we see Leonard grappling with the fact that he turned down Penny and that he's not sure whether he's going to break up with her."

I really hate how Penny takes marriage so lightly, it should be something taken seriously and feel heartfelt about but we just don't get any of that from her. Instead the only time she actually does work up the nerve to ask those four words to him is when she's drunk out of her mind! How low is that? Especially since it feels as if it's a last resort for her when it shouldn't be.

I just don't think Leonard has the guts to break up with Penny since he seems way too afraid of losing her, he most definitely regretted it the last time he did too. He'll still stick by her side no matter how out of hand she gets because he dreams of having 'smart and beautiful babies with her'. But if they are thinking about doing a third break (I refer to it as that because their break ups are NEVER permanent) between Lenny then wow…how many split ups do they need to do in order for them to become more confident with each other?

Honestly a Lenny/Shamy/Howardette break up is the ONLY close too effective thing that'll happen on this show. Either way it's not even worth it because they only stay broken up for two to three episodes the latest and then they'll hook back up and completely forget over why they ever split up in the first place, they just play everything way too damn convenient.

IMO a Lenny marriage isn't gonna change or even fix anything between them, it may possibly make things worse instead.
