For those brave enough to watch...let me know how bad it really is. I'm particularly interested in what sort of tone Penny has when she makes her mean comment to Sheldon.

Or how Sheldon looks/sounds when Amy asks him the 'big' question too lol

Cos that makes TOTAL sense after telling him last week that she LOVES having him in her life....What I wouldn't give for some continuity. -_-

My heart is in my chest, at least I can come here and vent when the news starts to flow in. I haven't watched it yet.

First off, whatever happened to last season's "Live long and suck it, Zachary Quinto"? Since when is Zachary Quinto's Spock the definitive argument FOR change in Sheldon's world? Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk would have been a far better example and in much better keeping with last Fall's episodes. Cheap attempt to cash in on the approaching premiere of the new Star Trek movie next Friday, anyone?

Second, though I wasn't crazy about the way Penny was portrayed in tonight's episode, it was still a lot more positive than many episodes this season have been. Come to think of it, that's a very depressing admission, isn't it? :(

Finally, the fantasy role-playing make-out session between Sheldon and Amy with absolutely no physical contact at all was actually reasonably tasteful, all things considered. I'm sure that Shamy enthusiasts will argue differently, but what I saw was Sheldon showing great kindness to Amy, even though he personally had no desire whatsoever to move to a real-life physical relationship with her at this time ( ... )

It was pretty much back to heavy drinking and mean Penny IMO. Howard was the only thing I liked about the episode. Still see zero chemistry between the Lenny and Shamy.

Yeah, I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally tired with the whole "Penny is a slutty lush" trope. I know quite a few non-shippers who share my sentiment.

So with you. I am sick of them dumping on her character. Who actually finds that funny?

Why is it that these group of 'friends' all treat each other like complete crap? Is no one nice to each other for at least ten minutes?! Is that too difficult?' Apparently being a dick to the ones closest to you is the new funny you guys.

Jislane I said it for the longest time these people are not real friends. Sheldon and Penny have been the closest and even they are mean to each other plenty of times. Amy and Penny being friends is the biggest joke.

You couldn't be more right honey, I'm not even sure whom Amy would go to if her and Sheldon were (miraculously) broken up, Bernie and Penny would probably be there for her out of niceness but I think they really would care less about her own problems that she herself as to deal with.

Jislane let's not forget the guys dancing for joy when Sheldon was going to the arctic or when they were rolling on the floor after Barry played the prank on Sheldon. I could go on by I have to go to work in 11 hours :)

I must say, I think Simon Helberg made the show tonight. Howard needs to be the Dungeon Master all the time. I was especially ROFL at his Christopher Walken impression. And actually, that led to Sheldon putting down Leonard a little.

I agree, Howard as Dungeon Master was hilarious. Too bad the rest of the episode was either awkward or just meh.
