The post about
paradox_drabble reopening reminded me that I'd wanted to bring this idea over from
reddwarfslash: drabble trees!
If you've not heard of drabble trees before, here's how they work: below the cut is a drabble (100 words exactly; the word limit is part of the challenge). Anyone who wants to participate replies to this post with another drabble containing one of the sentences or phrases from the original drabble. The subject line should be the words you took. The next person should continue the trend, taking a sentence or phrase from any one of the existing drabbles and beginning their own.
Any particular drabble can be drawn from as many times as you want. It's okay to change tense or POV of the bit you've taken if you need to to make it make sense.
Penny doesn’t know what a Higgs-Boson particle is, or a quark, and she can’t wrap her head around... well, anything else Sheldon’s written on the whiteboard. At least it’s legible; she had teachers in high school who wrote like they had Parkinson’s Disease. There’s an elegance to his movements as he writes, and she suddenly realizes just how pretty his hands and forearms are.
Penny’s not the cheating type. But that night, as she dreams of wandering a town in ancient Greece on a warm summer evening, the person walking beside her with her hand in his is not Leonard.
