Summary: Saturnalia gift for ishie
Sheldon and Penny both have some deep seated phobias. Confronting them together affects them in ways they might not expect.
Author’s Note: I originally got ishie’s prompts, and because I had some technical difficulties I couldn’t control, our wonderful mods kindly gave me an extension while bringing in a pinch hitter just in case, so, surprise ishie! You get two Saturnalia fics this year!
I tried to combine elements of two ofishie's prompts namely:
1) PROMPT: pre- (or mid-series flashback?), something goofy or heartfelt (both?) with Sheldon at home with his family. Before his dad died? When his dad died? Sheldon's unexpectedly hot brother tries to reconnect by exploiting nostalgia? Bonus points for a Jayne Cobb connection (Adam Baldwin was so George Cooper, okay? OKAY.). I'll love you forever if you give Missy something awesome to do. (Have I used enough parentheticals?) (Here have another!)
2)PROMPT: Penny and Sheldon each get the other to do something they're deathly afraid of, maybe as the result of a wager? Shippy or friendly doesn't matter, but I like them best when they bicker. Uh I said friendly was okay but makeouts would be super though.
I've had a horrible and horrendous couple of weeks, and writing this was very distracting and comforting. Thanks to the folks of paradox for doing this project every year.
