The story began like all stories.
A brilliant physicist and the curvy blonde on his shoulder that loved and challenged him.
After the return of the Cylons, that blonde was Caprica Six and she whispered anything and everything it took in Dr. Gaius Baltar’s ear.
Not on Earth That Was but on Earth that Became, two of God’s children did the same.
This time, her name was Penny and the Dr. in question was Sheldon Lee Cooper.
She challenged him, she hated him, she loved him, she punished him, and she took care of him.
All this has happened before and will happen again.
He did not see her for what she was, and she did not see herself either.
Not yet anyway.
It would become clear with a kiss, and an exercise in the most primal of human functions.
Self-involved and egotistical, this man's eye was on the prize named after Nobel.
Gaius saw a world where he was the most praised, the most honored, the most intelligent.
They both ran away from less than kingly backgrounds, where mud and sun did not understand the piccolos of a genius.
All this has happened before, and will happen again.
It would only come to him at great personal cost and to her after acceptance of the role she was to play.
She would never completely understand his love and obsession with the abstract, when there was so much life to live and love to feel.
Like flint to a stone, struck at the right angle, with the right amount of force, they would set the world on fire.
