A Request from Bill Prady

A heads-up to Paradox members with Twitter. I feel like lately the fourth wall has been crumbling a bit, and there's now an official request from Prady to cease and desist with story pitches and links to fanfic. I just wanted to make everyone at the community aware of this, as it's straight from the man himself.

Agreed. I would never submit any fan fiction stories or links to the creators of shows. First, it's a waste of their time, feels like spamming, and almost every TV show creator refuses to read fan fic anyways because if they happen to write a similar story to a fan fic submission they received, they could get sued by the author of the fan fiction script.

Absolutely, yes.

While I enjoy reading Prady's tweets and seeing the set pics he posts, I never feel the need to engage him online, let alone "pitch" storylines or discuss my deep, abiding love for S/P. I have fic and Paradox for that and I seriously doubt any amount of hectoring Prady is going to change one thing on the show.

ETA: And links to fanfic? OH, COME ON. o_O

Sometimes I have to check myself and say, "Hey, it's just a half-hour sitcom. BBT does not have the power to change the world and my own world will not end if Sheldon and Penny don't get together in canon."

I'm glad someone posted this. I can't believe ppl actually sent him story links. I have been tempted to send him links to discussions on the lack of character consistency/development, but I've refrained.

Thank you for doing so. The poor man just wants to tell us about getting coffee in the mornings or how they wear coats when it's 57 degrees in California.

And if the fandom pisses him off too much, he'll stop tweeting little tidbits and pictures. That would seriously suck.
