Hello all of you nice people out there in the Paradox Community, I just thought i would introduce myself. I've been lurking around Paradox and Live Journal for a while now, and I finally decided to make an account because y'all seemed so nice and I wanted to join the fun.
I started watching TBBT in season 2 (I watched like every available episode in one weekend) and pretty much shipped Penny and Sheldon from the get-go. My parents and sister also watch the show, and my mom and my sister are actually unintentional shippers of Shenny as well (I'm not going to explain shipping to them, they would just look at me funny).
When I found out my mom shipped them it was like this:
Me: What do you think of the new season?
Mom: Oh I like it (pause) I don't think Penny and Lenard are going to last though.
Me: Yeah, I'd be willing to bet they're broken up by the end of the season.
Mom: I think you're right (pause again) I think she's going to wind up with Sheldon eventually.
Me: (secretly grinning over the phone) I think you're right Mom.
Later on it was pretty much the same thing with my sister. She and I are watching the show and she says she thinks L/P are going to break up. I agree and tell her that Mom and I think that Sheldon and Penny will wind up together someday. My sister reflects on this for second and says "Yeah, I can see that."
Anyways, I thought y'all might enjoy those little anecdotes and take that as a sign of encouragement that even people that don't know about shipping are rooting for Sheldon and Penny. Once again, I'm so excited to be joining your community. And like I said, I am new to the whole Live Journal thing so if I did something incorrectly or broke a rule, please let me know and I will work on fixing that.
