Hot Air Balloons!

So Sunday night I was hanging out with Jon and his parents when all of a sudden the phone rang.  It was like 9:45 at night and the Jonse residence doesn’t get to many phone calls after like 7 so Jon answered and it was this guy that Jon had originally talked to about my anniversary present.  There had been a huge ordeal and every time we scheduled to do this thing he canceled or the weather wasn't right and then he got screwed over by the place that sold him the tickets for this surprise.  He eventually told me that this surprise was a hot air balloon ride and I was really disappointed that it wasn't going to happen because I have ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted to do.  Anyways back to the story.... This guy called and said hey do you wanna go on the balloon ride tomorrow?  It was really short notice but we decided it would be worth missing an A day to go.  Jon showed up at my house at like 3 am and we went to Ihop, drove forever, got lost in Seguine, but eventually got to SanAntonio by 6:45.  That freakin balloon was huge!  We got to help the guy set it up, that was cool.  It was so cool.  He took us up to like 900ft the took us back down to 1ft and back up again.  It was crazy!  The weather was perfect.  We spent an hour and a half floating above the suburbs of SanAntonio.  It was beautiful.  I will probably post pictures when I get them back.  When we landed we were served a champagne breakfast and he told the story about how hot air balloon were first invented and how the champagne breakfast became a tradition and then sat around talking for a while.  That was so much fun!  After that Jon and I drove in to SanAntonio and walked around downtown.  Stopped at the huge fountain then walked down to the river walk and had lunch next to the river at a place called Casa Rio and fed tortilla chips to the ducks.  I enjoyed sending the day with Jon, I think that will be one of my most memorable days of high school.
